In the first half of the year, despite the lingering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Huangtian Town took proactive initiatives and adapted dynamically to changing situations, delivering an outstanding development report featuring local characteristics!

Win the epidemic prevention and control battle. Upon the outbreak of COVID-19, the town closed villages immediately and sounded the assembly call for epidemic response without delay. By setting up persuasion stations staffed by Party members and rolling out multiple prevention and control measures, Huangtian firmly guarded the "Northern Gateway" of Qingyuan County.

Accelerate the resumption of work and production to sound the melody of economic recovery. To secure a double victory in epidemic prevention and control as well as industrial revival, local enterprises in Huangtian took on social responsibilities. Oudi Industrial built a mask production line within only 15 days, demonstrating the remarkable speed of Qingyuan’s manufacturing enterprises amid the special period. Anyi New Materials pushed forward construction by reversing the work schedule, fully embodying the confidence and resolve of Xinzheng practitioners in secondary entrepreneurship. Honglian Stationery took the initiative to explore market opportunities independently. By expanding cross-border e-commerce business and tapping domestic market potential, the enterprise achieved a growth in orders against the overall market downturn.

Polish the brand of Party building. The town further refined the grassroots governance working mechanism of "Discussions at the Covered Bridge", launching a series of themed activities covering rural development and integrity governance. It also participated in the program Voice of Party Building on Zhejiang Satellite TV, enabling the "Discussions at the Covered Bridge" governance model to gain nationwide and global recognition.

Consolidate the foundation of integrity construction. Huangtian took the lead across Zhejiang Province in implementing the personal item reporting system for rural Party members, and released the first township-level "Integrity Index" throughout Lishui City. Integrity evaluations were carried out across all 16 administrative villages, allowing 673 rural Party members to voluntarily accept supervision and standardized management by Party organizations.

Forge ahead toward the goal of moderate prosperity. To boost industrial confidence, the town successfully hosted the 2020 First China (Qingyuan) Grifola frondosa Festival. To increase farmers’ income, a series of rural revitalization initiatives were rolled out, including the "Township Mayor Service Team" and the "Yunongtong · Gifts of Zhejiang Villages" program. Township cadres acted as live-streaming hosts promoting local agricultural products, providing strong support for poverty alleviation and the elimination of collective economic weakness in villages.

Moving forward, Huangtian Town will integrate six major categories of resources to foster six new growth poles and momentum sources for high-quality development.

Integrate red cultural resources to build Qingyuan’s "Jinggangshan". Huangtian and surrounding towns, townships and counties boast abundant red revolutionary resources. Centered on Cuishang Village, the former residence of the Min-Zhe Border Prefectural Party Committee, Huangtian will carry out cross-mountain coordinated planning to build a red education base known as Qingyuan’s "Jinggangshan", continuously enriching the local connotation of the Southwest Zhejiang Revolutionary Spirit.

Integrate ecological green resources to construct the "World Bamboo Sea Grand Park". Seizing the opportunity of the establishment of Baishanzu National Park, the town will rely on the million-mu bamboo sea resources spanning four counties of Zhejiang and Fujian Provinces at Longtoushan. With a forward-looking vision extending beyond Lishui to the whole world, the World Bamboo Sea Grand Park will be built into a vital window to fully display Qingyuan’s ecological advantages in the new era.

Integrate characteristic agricultural resources to construct the "China Grifola frondosa Museum". Leveraging the influence of the 2020 First China (Qingyuan) Grifola frondosa Festival and integrating with the Beautiful Towns Construction Action Plan, Huangtian will fully advance the construction of the China Grifola frondosa Museum, further polishing its golden business card as the "Hometown of Grifola frondosa in China".

Integrate transportation resources to upgrade and build a strategic military access road. Supported by paired assistance from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Transportation and the Lishui & Jinhua Military Sub-districts, the town will strive for the planning and construction of the Baixiao Highway as a strategic military road. This project will realize effective transportation connection with the Longquan Military Zone and open up a flexible flanking passage for cross-strait defense operations.

Integrate entrepreneurial industrial resources to build a new Qingyuan Industrial City. Giving full play to its solid industrial foundation and half-hour logistics circle advantage, Huangtian will break through restrictive development factors, and develop the planned Huangtian Ecological Industrial Agglomeration Park into the core development space for Qingyuan’s 14th Five-Year Plan period.

Integrate land element resources to build Qingyuan’s "Land Bank". The town will fully tap idle dormant land resources and strive for the large-scale ecological restoration and land consolidation project covering the whole Caoling Village, with a single land leveling area of 2,000 mu. The project will provide reliable cultivated land occupation-supplement balance guarantee for the scientific and sustainable development of Qingyuan County.
